Sirish Scholarship Assam 2026-27 – Details
Sirish Scholarship application for 2026-27 will start soon on sirishassam.in. The Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare runs this for students from Tea Tribe and Adivasi communities in Assam.
The portal went live in 2021. Since then thousands of students have got scholarships through it. No paper applications. Everything online. This guide covers eligibility, amounts, how to apply, documents needed, and answers to common questions.
Schemes Under Sirish Portal
There are multiple schemes on the Sirish portal. Not just scholarships – they also have schemes for entrepreneurs and women's SHGs. Pick what fits you.

Who Can Apply?
Here's what you need to be eligible:
- Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Assam
- Community: Must belong to Tea Tribe or Adivasi community
- Caste Certificate: Valid TGL (Tea Garden Labourer) or EX-TGL certificate from Deputy Commissioner or authorized officer
- Family Income: Less than ₹5 lakh per year
- Bank Account: In your name. Aadhaar-linked is better for DBT
Some schemes have extra conditions:
- Simon Sing Horo: You must have passed HSLC or HSSLC in the current year
- Civil Services Assistance: You must have cleared UPSC/APSC Prelims this year

How Much Money Will You Get?
The amount depends on which scheme you apply for and your educational level:

How to Apply – Step by Step
Everything is online. You can do it from your phone or computer.
- Go to sirishassam.in
- Click "Sign Up" or "Register". Put in your name, mobile number, email, and date of birth.
- You'll get an OTP on your phone. Type it in. Create a password.
- Login with your mobile number and password.
- Pick the scheme you want – Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Simon Sing Horo, whatever fits you.
- Fill the form. You'll need to enter:
- Your name, parents' names, DOB, gender
- Address, mobile number, email
- Previous class, marks you got, percentage
- Current class/course, college/school name, admission year
- Family income – total yearly income from everyone
- Bank account number, IFSC code, bank name
- Your sub-tribe – Munda, Oraon, Gond, Santhal, etc.
- Upload your documents – the ones we listed above.
- Preview everything. Double-check your name, bank details, and all other info.
- Click "Submit". After this, you can't change anything.
- Download the Acknowledgement Receipt. Keep it safe. Write down your application number somewhere you won't lose it.
How to Check Application Status
- Login with mobile number and password.
- Click "Track Application" or "Application Status".
- Your status will shows there.
Renewal for Old Beneficiaries
If you got the scholarship last year, you need to apply for renewal:
- Login with your old credentials
- Click "Renewal Application" – not fresh application
- Upload previous year's mark sheet showing promotion
- Update bank details or address if changed
- Renewal deadline is usually later than fresh application
- If you miss the renewal deadline, you lose the scholarship
