Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Forestry, or Environment Management from a recognised university. Diploma in Health & Safety will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must have experience in energy infrastructure projects, preferably transmission projects of 132KV and above. Work experience in at least 2 externally aided or international financial institution funded projects is mandatory.
Experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), ESMP, Resettlement Plan (RP), and Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with AIIB and strengthen the Project Management Unit
- Ensure compliance with Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and ESMP
- Implement Gender Policy and Resettlement Action Plan
- Prepare Indigenous People Planning Framework
- Develop Site Specific Health, Safety, Environmental and Social Management Plan
- Conduct stakeholder and public consultations
- Advise AEGCL on environmental issues as per AIIB policies
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Knowledge of Assamese will be an added advantage
- Ability to collaborate across divisions
- Experience in stakeholder engagement
Contract & Selection Process
The engagement is purely on contract basis for an initial period of 3 years. Extension will be subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
Selection will be through walk-in-interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Original documents will be verified at the time of interview.
